ReturnKit

Changelog

1.0.0

First release.

Returns (free)

  • Self-service returns from My Account → Returns, a Return items button on each eligible order, and a link in the completed order email.
  • Guest returns: a look-up on the Returns page that emails a secure order-key link, and never shows order data on screen.
  • Your returns policy: period from completion or order date, eligible order statuses, reasons, and exclusions for virtual products, sale items, categories and single products.
  • Item and quantity selection with a per-order lock, so the same item can't be claimed twice.
  • Request pages with a status timeline, return instructions and address, and cancellation while pending.
  • Staff workflow: approve, mark received with restocking, refund through the payment gateway (with delivery costs when needed), complete, decline with a reason, notes and customer messages. Every step is logged and noted on the order.
  • Dashboard, requests list with filters, search and CSV export, a Returns box on the order screen and per-product return settings.

EU withdrawal function (free)

  • Article 11a CRD (Directive (EU) 2023/2673): a "Withdraw from contract here" function, a separate "Confirm withdrawal" step and an immediate acknowledgement email with the statement and the date and time.
  • A withdrawal page with an order picker for logged-in customers and a general form for everyone, item-level withdrawal, the [returnkit_withdrawal_button] shortcode, an optional footer link, and links in My Account and order emails.
  • Withdrawal period with extra delivery days, late withdrawals accepted and flagged (or refused), legal exceptions per product or category.
  • Unmatched withdrawals recorded, acknowledged and linkable to an order by staff. The general form gives everyone the same confirmation, so it reveals nothing about orders.
  • A setup checklist on the dashboard, and a warning while WooCommerce 11.1's own withdrawal form is also on.

Also free

  • Spam protection for the public forms: hidden bot trap, expiring form tokens, minimum time on the form, per-IP limit with a choice of IP source (direct, Cloudflare or proxy) and optional Cloudflare Turnstile.
  • Five WooCommerce emails, every customer email logged on the request.
  • Overridable templates, developer hooks and crash protection.
  • Privacy export, anonymizing eraser, IP shortening and suggested privacy-policy text.
  • Warcal admin design system: dashboard, requests, settings, help.

Pro

  • Exchanges for another variation or product, with the price difference paid through pay-for-order, credited or refunded.
  • Store credit on customer accounts, with an optional bonus, applied at checkout after tax and shipping. Guest orders get a link to claim the credit on an account.
  • Return labels attached to the approval email and downloadable from the request page.
  • Return insights: reasons, return rates, most returned products and money kept in the store, with CSV export.
  • Frequent-returner flags, including CardFence signals.
  • Automatic approval of low-value returns for chosen reasons.
  • Licensing through Freemius.
